Full-time, hourly and non-exempt position
Survey Instrument Technician Responsibilities
- Assist with topographic surveying and construction staking
- Learn to operate the survey equipment and support Survey Crew Chief
- Adhere to all professional/technical requirements of the survey as directed by the Survey Manager
- Maintain and care for the survey vehicles and equipment, including instrument calibration
- Complete and maintain current OSHA-approved confined space entry certification
- Assist with maintenance of vehicle and equipment to ensure safety, mechanical soundness and productive operation
Required Skills/Abilities
- Maintain accurate, legible and organized records of work completed
- Utilize critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Must be able to work effectively in team situations and independently, as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
