Project Engineer Responsibilities

  • Perform engineering analysis and/or design for storm, sanitary and water utilities, including water/wastewater treatment, facilities and pump/lift stations

  • Stormwater analysis and design, including detention, green infrastructure and other sustainable solutions that both reduce storm water flow and improve water quality

  • Perform design, analysis and engineering of commercial, residential or mixed use civil site design

  • Support design team through quality control process on prepared plans

  • Calculate quantities and construction cost estimates

Education, Licensing, Certification and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering

  • At least 2 years of experience in civil engineering

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Knowledge of MicroStation Open Roads and/or AutoDesk Civil 3D

  • HECRAS, HECHMS and/or Innovyze Modeling Products

  • Working knowledge of design standards, including AASHTO, MUTCD, WEF, APWA and AWWA

  • Knowledge of engineering principles and procedures

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels within the organization

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
