TREKK was built around passionate, trustworthy difference makers. Our relaxed, flexible environment brings smart people together to make a difference in the world around us. We like being different. Our entrepreneurial culture empowers us to engineer holistic, commonsense solutions that support the growth and restoration of the communities we serve. Innovation, creativity and free thinking are encouraged to deliver quality solutions that match our clients’ needs. We derive success and fulfillment from the impact our work has in the communities we call home and the people we serve. We call this IMPROVING LIVES, and we’ve been proud to do so since 2002.
TREKK’s entrepreneurial spirit starts with our founders, Kimberly and Trent Robinett, who decided to follow their dreams to serve others.
In 2002, they launched TREKK Design Group in their basement. TREKK initially offered civil engineering and lighting design services across the Kansas City area, quickly gaining a reputation for quality client service. Seeing an opportunity to better help the communities they served, Kimberly and Trent expanded the firm’s capabilities to include survey and wastewater services. TREKK also became certified as a Disadvantaged/Women-Owned Small Business, and our growing firm moved from the basement to a room above the Robinett’s garage.
TREKK’s early projects focused primarily on transportation and site development work across Kansas City. But in the mid-2000s, as cities across the Midwest began focusing on deficiencies in their sanitary sewer systems, Kimberly and Trent saw an opportunity to create a new niche for TREKK – wastewater field services. That niche led us to open TREKK’s first regional office in Omaha, Nebraska to assist with that city’s combined sewer overflow program.
Now 23 years later, TREKK continues to IMPROVE LIVES in our communities and for our clients, offering comprehensive engineering design and consulting services, as well as technology offerings that help our clients work smarter.
You can find TREKK’s more than 230 employees in 11 offices, solving problems all over the country.
TREKK is humbled and honored to be recognized by our peers
