Full-time, hourly and non-exempt position

Survey Instrument Technician Responsibilities

  • Assist with topographic surveying and construction staking

  • Learn to operate the survey equipment and support Survey Crew Chief

  • Adhere to all professional/technical requirements of the survey as directed by the Survey Manager

  • Maintain and care for the survey vehicles and equipment, including instrument calibration

  • Complete and maintain current OSHA-approved confined space entry certification

  • Assist with maintenance of vehicle and equipment to ensure safety, mechanical soundness and productive operation

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Maintain accurate, legible and organized records of work completed

  • Utilize critical thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Must be able to work effectively in team situations and independently, as needed

  • Perform other duties as assigned
