Field Technician Responsibilities
Conduct field inspections such as smoke testing, manhole and structure inspections, cleaning and televising, and flow metering installations
Provide quality work, inspections, accurate data, and thorough daily quantities and reports
Work efficiently and safely by adhering to all safety protocols; hold daily crew leads accountable for safe work environment
Assist with the maintenance of vehicles and equipment to ensure safety, mechanical soundness and productive operation, which includes troubleshooting and repairing equipment in the field
Look for opportunities to support daily crew lead and help your crew get ahead of schedule
Complete TREKK’s safety training and adhere to all S.A.F.E. procedures and TREKK policies/procedures, including attending a weekly Toolbox Talk
Complete and maintain current First Aid/CPR certification as well as OSHA 10-hour and confined space entry certifications
Maintain current NASSCO Certifications for Manhole (MACP) Inspections and Pipeline (PACP) Inspections
Required Skills/Abilities
Must be detailed oriented and strive to accurately and efficiently perform work
This job is considered physically demanding. You must be able to: work outside year-round; enter sewer manholes; stand for long periods of time; lift, push and pull 100 lbs.; climb stairs; walk uneven terrain; squat, crawl and walk for long distances.
Clean driving record and background check
Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate across team members
A working knowledge of inspections, including smoke testing, manhole inspections, MACP, PACP, CCTV televising and sewer cleaning services, and flow metering
Proficiency in ARC GIS, Microsoft Excel and Word, Granite and Fulcrum
