TREKK acquires St. Louis civil engineering firm Access Engineering

NEWS RELEASE | October 27, 2021

When TREKK Design Group started almost 20 years ago, we were a small, boutique firm offering civil engineering and lighting design services across the Kansas City area. Thanks to clients and friends like you, we’ve grown to more than 150 people in seven offices across the Midwest, working together to provide holistic, commonsense solutions. And we’re still growing.

We are excited to announce that Access Engineering, a woman-owned civil engineering firm in the St. Louis area, will be joining the TREKK family on November 1, 2021. The Access team strengthens TREKK’s breadth of experience and local reach.

Founded in 2000, Access provides civil, transportation, traffic, wastewater, stormwater and drainage engineering and construction inspection services to clients across the St. Louis region. Like TREKK, Access is a woman-owned firm with nine employees, including four licensed professional engineers.

“TREKK and Access share a similar history, expertise and commitment to improving lives in the communities we serve,” said TREKK CEO and Managing Partner, Kimberly Robinett. “Adding Access’ talent in engineering planning and design complements TREKK’s local strength in infrastructure assessment, which will allow us to offer full-service solutions to our St. Louis area clients. We are excited to welcome Access to the TREKK family while continuing our growth in the St. Louis market.”

“Access has been fortunate to work on some great projects in the metropolitan St. Louis area over the last 21 years,” said Marie Dennis, Access Principal and Founder. “We are really looking forward to continuing our work with our great clients under the banner of TREKK Design Group.” Dennis will become TREKK’s St. Louis Transportation and Civil Market Lead.

Access will immediately transition its name to TREKK Design Group on November 1.
