TREKK Named one of the 2022 Champions of Business

TREKK Design Group was proud to be named one of the 2022 Champions of Business by the Kansas City Business Journal. TREKK was one of 16 companies honored by the Kansas City Business Journal this year. The Champions of Business honorees were selected by a panel of four judges who looked for companies that are breaking innovation barriers, financially strong and are stewards of community service. Each business must be headquartered in the Kansas City area, be in business for at least three years, and earn gross revenue of at least $2 million.

This honor comes during a special time for the company as TREKK is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. Managing Partner & CEO, Kimberly Robinett and her husband, Trent, launched TREKK from the basement of their home more than 20 years ago. During the past two decades, TREKK has grown to more than 160 employees. The firm has been recognized for a number of awards in the past five years, including the Mr. K Small Business of the Year in 2019.

TREKK is focused on improving lives in communities by providing safe roads and clean water. Improving lives goes far beyond the communities that TREKK touches with the work it does, whether on highways and bridges or by preventing basement flooding in watersheds.

Within the company the same level of care and commitment holds true. TREKK’s leadership team wants employees to feel valued and treats them as if they were family. Earlier this year, TREKK hosted a weekend getaway for all staff and guests to celebrate the company’s 20th anniversary. They also like to have fun in the office. From ping pong and Pop-A-Shot basketball battles to fantasy sports leagues and happy hours, Team TREKK knows how to have a good time.

Beyond the fun family atmosphere, TREKK offers generous employee benefits, such as providing health insurance benefits to all employees at no cost, 401k matching and a profit-based annual bonus program.
