TREKK Gives Back: Paying It Forward

A few years ago, my grandmother told us she had everything she needed and no longer would like gifts at the holidays. Instead, she asked us to take the money we would have spent on her and pay it forward in the community.

Each year since, at Christmas dinner we go around and tell my grandma who we helped and why they stood out to us.

After volunteering at Ronald McDonald House this summer, my husband and I decided to purchase essentials for the families staying there. We also chose to adopt a child at the Kansas City Dream Center.

We love how this tradition has reminded us of what the holiday season is all about. And it has challenged us to keep an eye out all year long for ways we can help.

Holding this value of giving back is the primary reason I chose TREKK. I am fortunate to have the opportunity to be a part of IMPROVING LIVES in our communities and amongst our team every day.
