CADD Technician

Civil Design Team
Full-time, hourly and non-exempt position

CADD Technician Responsibilities

  • Project design and drafting in compliance with proper drafting and engineering standards to produce quality plan sets

  • Set up projects in appropriate CAD workspace for design team

  • Be efficient in addressing comments during quality control process

  • Support design team through quality control process on prepared plans

Education, Licensing, Certification and Experience

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college with a major in CADD Drafting or a related field

  • 1 to 3 years of experience

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Proficient in Bentley, MicroStation, Open Roads and/or AutoDesk Civil 3D

  • Familiarity with design standards, including AASHTO, MUTCD, WEF, APWA and AWWA

  • Knowledge of client standards, including DOT, counties and municipalities

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

  • Must be detail oriented and strive to perform work accurately and efficiently

  • Must be able to follow specific, detailed instructions to carry out routine to moderately difficult tasks

  • Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels within the organization
