Living Out Our Purpose

Goals set when we are young are about making our world a better place, for our personal future and the lives we touch. Throughout our growth we sometimes lose sight of how this can really be accomplished. Our purpose at TREKK is intended to help us recognize how we are making that difference in your life and in ours.

At TREKK we improve lives by providing direction to enable community and personal growth. This is our calling. We find fulfillment by living out our purpose. But what does IMPROVING LIVES mean?

Our goal is to understand our employees’ personal purpose and then help them align it with the TREKK calling. Living out our personal purpose each day at work creates a powerful formula of natural fulfillment that is more positive and open to solution solving. It all really starts with “why?” and, once understood, it becomes like the fly wheel. Once it starts turning, it becomes easier and easier to keep it spinning. But when we focus on the why, we begin to see the bigger picture.

TREKK performs a significant amount of field and design work in our communities. We inspect thousands of manholes each year. We clean and CCTV and smoke test hundreds of thousands of feet of sanitary sewer. TREKK performs flow monitoring year after year. Why? To help make your systems perform better so our neighbors and families don’t end up with sewer backups in their homes. TREKK surveys and designs hundreds of miles of roads, sewers and waterlines and designs numerous bridges, interchanges and sidewalks. Why? So that friends and families can safely get to where they need to go.

When we ask you, “How can we help? What is keeping you up at night? What challenges are you struggling with?,” we genuinely want to know. TREKK wants to help solve your problem. Because if we can help, we will all feel fulfilled. We will make our world a better place because of it. At TREKK, living out our purpose is really just that simple.
