In the past five years alone, we have been involved with more than 250,000 linear feet of water main projects, ranging from mains as small as 2 inches to transmission mains up to 54 inches in diameter, as both a prime and sub-consultant.

Rapid Inflow and Infiltration Reduction Program

City of Lawrence, Kansas

TREKK is helping the City of Lawrence manage and implement its Rapid Inflow and Infiltration (I/I) Reduction Program, known as Ecoflow.  The eight-year program includes both public and private sector I/I components to help the City meet its goal of an overall 35 percent reduction in I/I within a large portion of its collection system.

TREKK provided construction observation phase services for the rehabilitation of 1/4 miles of Tauromee Avenue in Kansas City, Kansas. The project included asphalt paving operations using fly ash; sidewalk, driveways and culvert; waterline modifications; storm sewer; retaining wall; curb and gutter; seeding and sodding; traffic control and erosion control checks.

When complete, the rehabilitated pump station will have improved reliability and maintain the station’s capacity to meet the requirements of the City’s Consent Decree. We provided topographic survey, utility locates and construction staking for the new 2.5 mile streetcar line along Main Street. TREKK also provided storm sewer and sanitary sewer CCTV inspection to determine the actual condition of storm water and sanitary sewer lines.

Providence Road

Columbia, Missouri

The City of Columbia is rehabilitating Providence Road, from Stadium Boulevard to Stewart Road, near the University of Missouri campus to improve traffic flow and enhance pedestrian safety. TREKK provided design survey to this stretch of roadway, which includes the City’s busiest intersection at Providence Road and Stadium Boulevard.

TREKK provided design survey, utility locates, potholing, and subsurface utility engineering for the proposed 2.62 mile widening of I-435 from State Line Road to the I-435 bridge over Blue River Road. This preliminary work was completed prior to the design-build construction of the I-435 South Loop Link project.

TREKK provided survey, roadway design and construction inspection for the Complete Streets reconstruction of Oak Grove Road in Kansas City, KS. The project widened the roadway and added a shared use path, improving motorist and pedestrian safety and enhancing access to Oak Grove Elementary School. This project received an ACEC of Kansas Honor Award in 2015.
