In the past five years alone, we have been involved with more than 250,000 linear feet of water main projects, ranging from mains as small as 2 inches to transmission mains up to 54 inches in diameter, as both a prime and sub-consultant.

Rapid Inflow and Infiltration Reduction Program

City of Lawrence, Kansas

The City of Lawrence selected TREKK to manage and implement its Rapid Inflow and Infiltration (I/I) Reduction Program. TREKK’s responsibilities for the project include planning, development and implementation of the City’s I/I Reduction Program. The eight-year program includes a Sanitary Sewer Evaluation Study (SSES) of the area to quantify, identify and remove both public and private inflow and infiltration.

TREKK provided construction observation phase services for the rehabilitation of 1/4 miles of Tauromee Avenue in Kansas City, Kansas. The project included asphalt paving operations using fly ash; sidewalk, driveways and culvert; waterline modifications; storm sewer; retaining wall; curb and gutter; seeding and sodding; traffic control and erosion control checks.

TREKK provided design survey and construction staking, storm sewer drainage design, striping design and noise wall design as part of the team for the $250 million Johnson County Gateway Interchange project, Kansas’ first design-build project. The Johnson County Gateway Interchange, which consists of Interstate 435, Interstate 35 and Kansas Highway 10, is one of the state’s most congested interchanges. This interchange is important to the economic vitality of the region and serves as a critical link for the Kansas City metropolitan area and the state of Kansas.

The City of Columbia is rehabilitating Providence Road, from Stadium Boulevard to Stewart Road, near the University of Missouri campus to improve traffic flow and enhance pedestrian safety. TREKK provided design survey to this stretch of roadway, which includes the City’s busiest intersection at Providence Road and Stadium Boulevard.
