Full-time, salary and exempt position
Lead the growth and future of civil infrastructure in the St. Louis region as TREKK’s Civil Market Lead. This role is focused on growing TREKK’s presence, relationships and impact throughout the St. Louis market. You will serve as a trusted advisor to municipalities, utilities, developers and community leaders while developing meaningful opportunities that improve the places where people live, work and thrive.

With the support of an established Civil Service Line, strong project management resources and engaged leadership, you will help shape the future of TREKK’s St. Louis Civil Market.
Civil Market Lead Responsibilities
Market Growth & Client Relationships
- Develop and execute a strategic growth plan for TREKK’s St. Louis Civil Market, including market priorities, target clients and long-term growth opportunities
- Build, strengthen and maintain relationships with municipal, utility, development and community partners throughout the region
- Identify, pursue and win meaningful work that aligns with TREKK’s capabilities, purpose and long-term strategy
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients by understanding their challenges, anticipating needs and connecting them with solutions and resources
- Lead strategic pursuits, client meetings, and capture planning and proposal efforts
- Represent TREKK within industry, professional and community organizations to strengthen our visibility and relationships throughout the St. Louis market
- Collaborate across TREKK’s Service Lines to identify opportunities to expand existing relationships and bring broader solutions to our clients
Project Performance
- Serve as Project Manager for select strategic projects and key client accounts, maintaining strong relationships from pursuit through delivery
- Partner with TREKK’s technical and project management teams to develop scopes, schedules, budgets and proposals and deliver successful projects
- Help drive market performance through sustainable revenue growth, backlog development, client satisfaction and achievement of annual goals
- Provide insight into market trends, competitive activity, client priorities and emerging opportunities to inform TREKK’s growth strategy
Team Development
- Mentor and develop engineering and project management staff while creating opportunities for others to grow
- Partner with Civil Service Line leadership to anticipate staffing needs, recruit key talent and build capabilities needed to support market growth
- Foster a collaborative, accountable environment focused on exceptional client service, continuous improvement and shared success
- Identify and develop future leaders who can support the continued growth of the Civil Service Line
Education, Licensing, Certification and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Minimum of 10 years of civil engineering consulting experience
- Demonstrated success developing client relationships and growing business opportunities
- Experience serving municipal, utility and/or private development clients
- Experience managing civil engineering projects and multidisciplinary teams preferred
Required Skills/Abilities
- Strong understanding of the St. Louis civil infrastructure market; established relationships within the region are highly valued
- Proven ability to build trust, influence others and develop lasting relationships with clients, partners and team members
- Strategic and entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to translate market opportunities into sustainable business growth
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills with a commitment to developing others
- Experience leading project pursuits, proposals and client presentations
- Working knowledge of civil engineering design principles and industry standards
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications
- Existing relationships within the St. Louis municipal, utility and development communities
- Active participation in professional organizations such as APWA, ASCE, ACEC, ULI, Engineers’ Club, SWICOM, GSL or similar industry groups
- Knowledge of Bentley OpenRoads, Autodesk Civil 3D, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS and related civil engineering software
