As TREKK’s Transportation Market Lead, you will oversee the growth, direction and overall success of our Springfield Transportation team by marketing services, deepening client relations, mentoring staff and ensuring overall work product quality. Specific tasks will include:
Transportation Market Lead Responsibilities
- Establishing and maintaining client relationships with new and existing clients
- Collaborating with TREKK leadership to develop and meet organizational goals while supplying expertise and guidance on projects, operations, systems and programs that support TREKK’s purpose and vision
- Conducting business development tasks, including identifying, selling and delivering meaningful work for your team
- Overseeing and managing projects that improve communities and helping clients identify and procure funding opportunities
- Perform engineering analysis, design and plan production for transportation engineering projects, including roadways, highways, drainage, erosion control and traffic control
- Establishing and implementing an annual plan that helps your market meet or exceed annual KPI goals
- Developing and reviewing project proposals and scopes of work to meet clients’ schedule and budget
- Managing your team’s utilization and weekly workflow by prioritizing workloads to ensure projects are delivered on time, budget and meet client needs
- Growing and developing staff through training and mentorship
- Coordinating labor and equipment resources and hiring needs as workloads require
Education, Licensing, Certification and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- Professional Engineer certification required
- At least 10 years of experience in transportation design
Required Skills/Abilities
- Knowledge of MicroStation Open Roads and/or AutoDesk Civil 3D
- Working knowledge of design standards, including AASHTO, MUTCD and APWA
- Extensive knowledge of engineering principles and procedures
- Proven leadership skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels within the organization
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
