As our National Geospatial & LiDAR Director, you will shape how TREKK uses LiDAR, photogrammetry, GIS, reality capture and emerging technologies to solve complex infrastructure challenges and create new opportunities for our clients nationwide.

National Geospatial & LiDAR Director Responsibilities

National Growth & Client Relationships

• Develop and execute a national growth strategy for TREKK’s geospatial practice, identifying priority markets, clients, partners and emerging opportunities 
• Build, strengthen and maintain relationships with transportation agencies, municipalities, utilities, engineering partners and other organizations with significant geospatial needs 
• Develop a targeted opportunity pipeline and lead the pursuit of larger regional and national geospatial projects 
• Serve as a trusted advisor to clients by understanding their challenges and connecting LiDAR, GIS, reality capture and advanced data solutions to their infrastructure needs 
• Lead strategic pursuits, teaming discussions, client meetings, capture planning and proposal efforts 
• Represent TREKK within national industry and professional organizations to expand our visibility, credibility and relationships 
• Collaborate across TREKK’s service lines to identify opportunities to integrate geospatial capabilities into existing client relationships and projects 

Practice Development & Technical Strategy

• Establish the strategic direction for TREKK’s geospatial capabilities, including LiDAR, photogrammetry, GIS, reality capture, BIM-related deliverables and advanced data solutions 
• Identify emerging technologies, applications and service offerings that create value for clients and differentiate TREKK in the marketplace 
• Develop scalable technical standards, workflows, quality processes and delivery systems that support consistent execution across offices and project teams 
• Partner with technical leaders to evaluate technology investments, software, equipment and resources needed to support future growth 
• Provide technical and strategic leadership for complex geospatial projects and pursuits 
• Help drive practice performance through sustainable revenue growth, backlog development, client satisfaction and achievement of annual goals 

Team Development

• Build and develop a multidisciplinary geospatial team capable of supporting regional and national opportunities 
• Recruit key technical and leadership talent needed to expand TREKK’s capabilities and geographic reach 
• Mentor technical leaders, project managers and emerging leaders while creating opportunities for others to grow 
• Foster collaboration among Survey, GIS, engineering and technology teams to develop integrated solutions for clients 
• Create an accountable, innovative environment focused on technical excellence, exceptional client service and continuous improvement 

Education, Licensing, Certification and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Geography, Engineering, Geospatial Science or a related field preferred 
• Professional licensure or relevant industry certifications preferred 
• Minimum of 10 years leading geospatial, LiDAR, surveying, reality capture or related technology services within the AEC or infrastructure industry 
• Demonstrated success developing client relationships and winning complex geospatial work 
• Experience building, scaling and leading multidisciplinary technical teams 
• Experience developing and implementing new service offerings, technical standards or delivery systems 

Required Skills/Abilities

• Strong understanding of the national geospatial marketplace and the evolving role of LiDAR, photogrammetry, GIS and reality capture within infrastructure 
• Established industry relationships and the ability to build credibility with clients, partners and technical professionals 
• Strategic and entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to translate technology and market opportunities into sustainable business growth 
• Strong business development, capture planning and client relationship skills 
• Proven ability to build and lead high-performing technical teams 
• Ability to connect complex technical capabilities to practical client and business needs 
• Strong leadership, communication and mentoring skills 
• Strong organizational and time-management skills 
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite  

Preferred Qualifications

• National reputation or active leadership within geospatial, surveying, mapping or infrastructure technology organizations 
• Experience delivering geospatial programs for DOTs, municipalities, utilities or other major infrastructure owners 
• Experience integrating geospatial data with engineering, asset management, digital delivery or BIM workflows 
• Knowledge of mobile, terrestrial and aerial LiDAR systems; UAV and photogrammetric workflows; GIS platforms; reality capture technologies; and related processing and visualization software
