Route 50 Improvements

TREKK provided roadway, pedestrian and signal for improvements to US Route 50 from West Outer Independence Road to Missouri Route 47 in Union, Missouri. The 2.69-mile improvement project addressed deteriorating pavement and poor pedestrian facilities along Route 50. 

TREKK provided design services to mill and overlay the existing pavement and improve driver experience, with guardrail replacements and improved lighting to enhance safety. To bring this municipal stretch of roadway into ADA compliance, the project converted raised shoulders into sidewalks with curb ramps. All traffic signals within the project limits were upgraded to current standards and included CCTV and fiber optic network connections. Entrance layouts and drainage junction chamber adjustments were made as necessary to accommodate the design.
