Kansas City Water Services Department | Kansas City, Missouri
Kansas City’s Water Main Replacement Program is breathing new life into the city’s 2,800 miles of water mains, 600 of which are more than 100 years old. In 2012, the city implemented an annual Water Main Replacement Program to replace break-prone or obsolete water mains, improve water service, enhance fire protection and reduce water main breaks.
Since the Program’s inception, TREKK has been involved with more than 40 water main replacement projects in neighborhoods across the city. We have replaced more than 400,000 linear feet of water main as either a prime or sub-consultant.
TREKK provides complete services from field reconnaissance to final design, including survey, record drawing acquisition, utility coordination, preliminary and final design, preparation of opinion of probable construction cost, and Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) preparation.
