Olive Boulevard Intersection Improvements: North Price Road and Dielman Industrial Road

City of Olivette, Missouri

TREKK worked with the city of Olivette to conceptually analyze the intersections of North Price Road and Dielman Industrial Road at Olive Boulevard. The intersections serve an industrial park, with large trucks turning through them daily. However, the intersections are currently not wide enough for the trucks to safely complete turns without crossing into additional lanes and oncoming traffic. The conceptual analysis determined that adding additional turning lanes would help mitigate this issue. Additionally, the intersection improvements allow the misaligned sidewalks at Dielman Industrial Road to be better aligned, creating an easier and safer way for pedestrians to navigate.

As part of the conceptual analysis, TREKK conducted a traffic study, which included a Synchro analysis to analyze the two intersections’ level of service and delay, traffic counts, safety analysis, vehicle movements and conceptual design. We also helped the city submit two federal funding applications – a MoDOT Cost Share and a Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality (CMAQ) application – with the project successfully receiving MoDOT Cost Share funding.

TREKK is currently completing the design and survey of both intersections. Construction is expected to begin in 2026.
